Closed Eyes

Closed Eyes (working title) is a work in progress around the melancholy feeling of waiting and longing for the never returns.

The piece is an attempt to bring forward the restless, anxious atmosphere during 228, also known as February 28th 1947 incident in Taiwan in 1947. Thousands of Taiwanese were arrested and executed without charges. Their bodies were never returned home nor the news of their death, leaving their loved ones hoping, waiting, and questioning…
